Hello. 8)
It’s Weekly Roundup #4!
ENTREES.
1.
Taurus placements always affect the voice. Alex Jones has Mars Taurus: Gruff voice. Manly voice. Especially with Venus Capricorn there... Venus itself shapes the voice as well (Taurus is Venus' Sign after all). Capricorn is also his paramilitary aesthetic...
Jordan B. Peterson is Mars Taurus too (indeed, both are Mars Taurus Rising). Strikingly different, but they both have distinctive voices and they're both famous for stubbornness... Peterson's Venus is in Cancer, opposite Mr. Jones' - weepy, croaky & coddling, not hard & gruff like Capricorn.
2.
Aries doesn't want to be dominated, nor does it want to dominate. It wants to be free
Aries will act first and seek understanding later (or never), Libra the opposite
Gemini Suns will keep talking to you even if they hate you
Gemini = Social butterfly, chameleon.
Mercury is the planet of timing, as well as the planet of comedy.
Aquarius is rights and duties, Leo is honor and noblesse oblige.
3.
This is Pisces and the 12th House: Isolation, privacy and self-overcoming.
Nobody is going to change their mind right in front of you. They need to reflect. People prefer to change their minds the way they change their underwear, in private—Peter Everett
4.
The clarity and almost tactile precision of visuals from Japan expresses the country's familiarity to Virgo. America is familiar to Gemini, the other Mercurial Sign. [See here for source, animated.]
While Mercury is clarity and precision, of its Signs Virgo leans more towards precision and Gemini towards clarity. Compare the sharp, striking angles and illuminated faces of these American buildings to the Japanese stuff above:
Virgo is the clarity of a single, concrete point - cold, contractive - and Gemini is that of a sharp, hard, bright line - a traffic light or a letter.
5.
Jovian Signs like Sagittarius and Pisces love orbs & bubbles. Deep mystery here. The planetary spheres, dewdrops, scrying globes - self-contained worlds, unlike the networks of Mercury.
6.
R. Kelly's "Low IQ Defence" is actually typical of Saturn Pisces (which he has). Saturn is how we deal with authorities, and in Pisces you just pretend not to know what's going on until they leave you alone. I have seen this work several times...
Saturn is also how we show respect, and in Pisces it's by not mentioning things, letting things slide, making exceptions for people and letting them have their little bubble where they can get away with anything. Privacy.
MAIN.
Saturn’s Relation to the Ideal, and Libra.
Saturn is in the distant perfection and ideal grace which Libra wishes to cultivate. It is in the promise of the future which Libra lives for, and the archetypes which Libra gives to others to embody. This is what Libra's Exaltation of Saturn means.
Saturn is so terribly misunderstood. It is the planet of grace and politeness, of awe-inspiring perfection, as well as mere hard work. It is the long aim and the distant hope. Thus, of the Saturnine Signs, Capricorn seeks mastery, Aquarius seeks its vision of utopia, and Libra seeks any ideal.
Libra's Exaltation of Saturn is in its exaltation of the ideal, which mixed with Venus creates the sweetness and romance of fantasy. It is, for instance, the vision proffered by Nietzsche of perfect freedom and self-development, which invites so many to participate in it. Also the seductive fantasy world of Aleister Crowley, another Libra Sun (of whom I am no fan).
Any kind of seductive ideal is Libran. It's as simple as A + B: Seduction is Venusian, Ideals are Saturnine. Libra loves both. It recognises that one must sweeten the ideal before people get on board with it and sacrifice the present for the future. It must convince people.
Libra is always living in the future, the sweet promise of the future - which is why, at its worst, all it is is a string-along artist whose promises lead nowhere.
The sense of perfection which Libra seeks to cultivate - awe-inspiring, irreproachable grace - is similar to that of its neighbouring Sign, Virgo. But where Virgo is concerned with the facts, Libra is concerned above all with the image and its power.
And really, I can't dismiss hard work as "merely" anything - the satisfaction of standing over a freshly dug ditch, or of viewing one, is also Saturnine. Also holds the eternal gleam of Saturn. Or a freshly-written essay. The gleam of perfection held by any finished work.
Melancholia is Saturnine insofar as it consists in awareness of distant ideals which one doubts his capacity to reach. In this sense, frustration is also a facet of Saturn, and melancholy its mature fruit.
Cancer Suns (with an Emphasis on the Males)
Cancer Sun Males (also known as GOD'S FAVOURITES) are among the most misunderstood creatures on Earth - tenacious, dreamy and sensitive, they will love you dearly and protect you forever if you give them the space to be themselves.
Cancers (Men and Women) need to follow their dreams and pursue the path of deepest self-fulfilment, no matter what anyone else says they should do. While we can say this is true of everyone to some extent, this is the motive around which a Cancer Sun's life revolves.
Cancer Suns cannot and should not sustain the 9-5, unless they have no other way to provde for their loved ones. It will kill them faster than any other Sign. They have the tenacity and hopefulness to pursue their dreams without giving up - and whatever talents we have, we are meant to use. Hope and vision are precious resources.
Cancers are meant to do something crazy, something wild, and they should realise that their dreams are meaningful - signals to be pursued, not arbitrary fancies. While society may not approve of their aims, Cancers have the confidence to press on despite that. They are not meant to do what’s expected of them.
Dreams aside, Cancers need someone to care for, and as @SpoonGrapefruit (a CSM himself) says here they won't find that by hiding away in their bedrooms.
On a tactical level, Cancer men tend to keep themselves at home, so it's important to get out, interact with many kinds of people for inspiration and to increase energy/momentum.
Excessive sensitivity and paranoia can hamstring Cancer Suns, driving them into themselves like an ingrown toenail.
Cancers should also learn to distinguish helpful advice and constructive criticism from attack. If a Cancer is spiralling and friends try to tell him he’s on the wrong path, he may interpret this concern as harmful and alienate the only people who care about him enough to reach out.
Cancer Sun Males in particular suffer because this kind of sensitivity is not accepted by most people in men, despite tokenistic gestures to the contrary. The torment felt by CSMs is often forced along a path of abrasive faux-machismo - they lash out and pretend they're not in pain.
True, sometimes the CSM just needs to toughen up. But if he’s lashing out in a paranoid way, it's because he's hurt and afraid for his security, which to Cancer Suns is of absolute importance. In situations like that you just need to deal with him peacefully until he calms.
Perhaps you can't calm him down - perhaps he's just going to be an abrasive, shitty little CSM until he takes some action to get himself what he needs. Give him time and space and reach out at a later date. He will own up to his mistakes on his own time - forcing it will slow him. He cares about you, but his needs are absolute in his own mind, and confusion can cause him to think you’re an obstacle to them. His feelers for this are hypersensitive when inflamed.
Anyway, that's Cancer Suns. They're very sensitive and we don't live in a society which makes it easy for them to go their own way, which they must to be happy. They're not wimps but they deserve a break! Here's a crab for all you Cancers to enjoy:
Aries and the Coming Moment
1.
Aries exists for the sake of breaking apart dead, sclerotic structures and planting new seeds, but it leaves it to others to tend them. Aries is a pioneer, and once the frontier has been crossed it loses interest.
Saturn has trouble in Aries because its patient, forward-looking attitude GRATES against Aries' need for fire, action, conflict and achievement. Aries wants to blast through pessimism and stagnation - disrespect only excites it! And yet Saturn craves the regard of others.
2.
Neptune's entry into Aries circa 2025 will kick off the first long efforts to rip down the corrupt institutions which strangle the life out of us today. But wherever Neptune goes, deceit & delusion as well as idealism follow - many reformers will be false.
Neptune is in Pisces now: Thus our collective ideals are centered on compassion, acceptance, the pursuit of our dreams; on conspiracies, hidden things, esoteric knowledge. On wiping away the false self. Many things true & false follow in the wake of these ideals.
For instance, Neptune Pisces idealises "wiping away the false self and becoming true" - thus trans ideology. But, Pluto being in Capricorn since 2008, people's wills are centered in work, effort, denial of bodily need - getting things done in the most brute, material sense.
Thus many wish to wipe away the false self, and their wills are centered in painstaking material work. Thus therapy culture - which seeks self-overcoming and virtue by disciplined "emotional labour" - and surgical transition, which has its own labours
That one should need to work hard to attain his or her ideal and become true - this will pass away in a few years.
More on Pisces and Capricorn.
Pisces + Capricorn produces "generic", bland, effective forms: "Therapy", as opposed to some school of psychotherapy or other. Their collective influence also produces today's "generic", establishment-friendly monopolies: Amazon, Google, Apple, Facebook. Capricorn is the establishment, Pisces is bland & all-encompassing on the surface, but its reality is veiled. Thus…
Neptune Pisces + Pluto Capricorn = Today's bland crypto-empire of generic brand NGOs and untraceable money. It's the union of government with big business under the banner of Piscean moral posturing. But all this will change in a few years. The stagnation will pass.
Pisces-Capricorn is the empire of make-work and the world of institutional corruption in which nothing is as it seems, few people actually do anything, and history is constantly rewritten to conceal declining standards. All this will change. New evils and goods will arise.
P.S. Of course, this atmosphere of byzantine corruption is ripe for the speculations of "conspiracy theory", many of which miss the mark but most of which are a sincere attempt to break the shackles of the mind, to BREAK THE CONDITIONING & pierce the veil of lies... all of which is ♓️ Piscean ♓️
