Venus in Leo and Sagittarius
Venus’ activity in the sky determines the collective mood at any given moment - what people can relate on, what they find aesthetically pleasing. When it was in Sagittarius, the image on the left was making the rounds. Since it's entered Leo, the image on right had its own brief heyday. Each expresses the respective Signs' essence…
LEFT: Venus in Sagittarius: Contemplating the orb with distance, cosmic wisdom - what does the orb have to reveal to us? Sagittarius is Jupiter’s Sign, and these are the things it concerns: Revelation, perspective, transcendence.
RIGHT: Venus in Leo: Contemplating the orb with awe, wonder - the glory of the orb, self-apparent, self-affirming, undeniable. Leo is the Sun’s Sign, Sun the planet of Good in itself, value in the deepest sense. Why do we exist in a universe in which a glowing orb can be viewed as a metaphor for value? Why does light hold our attention in this way? Because the universe is orderly. These are all facets of the Sun's principle, on which reality is built.

Leo says: "This is the Truth. I stand by what I said. I am here, whether you like me or not. I am unconcerned. I simply AM."
Gemini.
Twisting, branching, interlocking forms are Geminian - Gemini is the Sign of language, the hands and the neighbourhood, all of which possess these forms:
Branching forms are, more broadly, Mercurial, and we see them manifesting at all scales. Zodiacal and planetary forces are the bones of reality, the templates out of which it's constructed, for the most part.
The Sign of Venus tells us what a person will find beautiful. Thus artists with Venus Gemini (Like Gustav Klimt, Robert Klippel, Zdenek Seydl and James Ensor) depict its twisting forms in their work:
Art Nouveau's heyday (~1890-1910) coincided with Pluto's transit through Gemini, and produced a very florid, elaborate, though sometimes shallow and chintzy style - textbook Gemini.
Capricorn and Pisces
For those unfamiliar, Pluto is currently transiting Capricorn (since 2008, fading out from 2023-2025) and Neptune Pisces (since 2012, until 2025-6). These transits shape collective attitudes and concerns, Neptune determining which things we collectively idealise and Pluto tinting our collective will.

it's all so schizoid. on the one hand people put their mental illnesses in their linkedin bios, but on the other hand any & all emotional expression has to take this extremely narrow medicalized/psychiatric form, on pain of broad-scale mockery and ostracism. very weird times
As Neptune transits Pisces, openness, vulnerability and sensitivity are idealised. As Pluto transits Capricorn, people are expected to crush down their suffering and get back on the grind.
Neptune's Sign provides the image, in some sense the wrapper of the real, guiding motives of Pluto. Neptune is the ideal, the light in which everything is seen and judged - and while it doesn't HAVE to contradict the motives emerging from Pluto's Sign, it often does. Take the following phenomenon of “Cancel Culture”, which will end in just a few years:
Neptune Pisces - Wrapper: Diversity, acceptance, love.
Pluto Capricorn - Content: The struggle to avoid making a wrong move and having your career destroyed.
Capricorn is the Sign of worldly struggle, of Getting Ahead, of Success - you against a million people scrambling clawing your way to the top. It combines the brutality & decisiveness necessary to WIN with the self-control, formality and politeness to avoid EVER putting a foot wrong.
With Neptune in Pisces, many view this in terms of morality and virtue. Others view it in terms of the equally Piscean motifs of secrecy, conspiracy and concealment - the truth behind closed doors. Others still view it in terms of having a dream and pursuing it, fulfilling your purpose on Earth.
From 2043 into the 2060s, Pluto will transit Pisces, and the current ideals will become the real content of human striving.
2.
The Victorians were the last Pluto Pisces generation (Born 1799-1823), which brings the same strange combination of censoriousness, perversion and spiritualism we see in culture today, as Neptune transits Pisces - also the imperial ambitions.
3.
There are several quite ugly manifestations of Pisces-Capricorn, now and throughout history:
The mindbroken establishment cipher, the man who has sold his identity for a place in the establishment - the snitch, the informant, the bureaucrat. "He loved Big Brother."
The decadent satrap, enslaved to his vices, enthroned through his heartless submission to power - absurd, laughable, and yet because of this, completely dependent on the Establishment. Reliable, because he owes them his existence. Some of our "leaders" (so-called) come to mind.
The ambitious court eunuch is a more purely Capricornian archetype, often the most devoted servants of the Establishment because they have nothing else in life - parentless, childless. Eggs frozen, castrated, desexed, all that remains is the grind. No children, nothing else to hope for but power.
Taurus and Capricorn help Pisces. Why? Because they’re in sextile to Pisces. But how, in practice does this work?
Once you've attained Success (Cap) or gotten rich (Taurus) you're free to do what you want, destroy yourself, experiment, whatever (Pisces). "Fuck you money" is Taurus-Pisces. “I’ve made it, now I can do what I want” is Capricorn-Pisces.
4.
Memes are Pisces. Nonsensical wavelengths we can all enter in on, bizarreness intruding on everyday life - incongruous, nonsensical. Their heyday was 2003-10, then 2012-25. They will leave us in a few years. Like tears in the rain. Of course we will still have jokes... just not like this.
5.
In the current era, the weepy sentimentalism of Pisces comes together with the hardness & despair of Capricorn. Save the Planet = Neptune Pisces. Don't Breed = Pluto Capricorn. Freeze your eggs, work hard, deny yourself = the dark side of Pluto Cap.
MISCELLANY.

Aquarians will sometimes drop the mask and present the truth of their feelings in such starkly honest terms that it can be shocking.

Fauci has no fucking right to wrap himself up in "science" like it makes him infallible. he's the opposite, he encourages a fundamentally religious view of science. for over a year now he has postured as the Pope of Science & that's exactly why he's unworthy of his authority
Fauci does this because he has Venus Sagittarius. Sag is the Sign of the scientist, priest, wizard - man of wisdom from the Ivory Tower (truly or falsely). Venus is the planet of charm, of getting people to go along with things. Thus he invokes Science to compel others' agreement

Burliuk's work combines the influence of Virgo and Cancer, so that the neat, precise, tactile brushstrokes culminate in the hazy textures of memory.
